The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house which has a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined nsfas status check R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any nsfas application of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
